hello sir
im doing b.com(h),final year. now i wish to become lecturer of english. am i eligible for that? is it mandatory to do b.a english as i hav b.com as my bachelors degree? please get back to me with details along with your suggestions. thank you.

To become a lecturer in universities and colleges in India, you have got to, first of all, complete your masters. Since you want to teach English at the University level, you will need to pursue your masters degree program in English. Apart from that, you will also have to qualify National Eligibility Test conducted by the University Grant Commission.

To be eligible for the National Eligibility Test for Lectureship, you will need to qualify your Masters Degree program with a minimum of 55%. In case of candidates belonging to Sc/St Category, the required percentage of marks is 50%.

To become a lecturer in English, you must qualify National Eligibility Test for Lectureship in that particular subject and candidates who have not pursued their masters degree program in English, will not be allowed to opt for it.

I have done my graduation in commerce with 60% and my masters degree in English with 59%.Am i eligible fo net exam?

To become a lecturer you should be master's in English subject with minimum 55%...with recognized University...than you can appear for UGC NET exam after cleared these exam you get admission in ph.d and become lecturer...

I HAVE DONE MY GRADUATION IN ECONOMICS AND NOW I AM DOING MA IN ENGLISH.CAN I BE A ENGLISH LECTURE IN COLLEGES OR UNIVERSITIES ??

I am a B.com graduate and have completed D.el.ed also and I want to teach English (primary level) in school is it possible? If not then please guide me what to do next.
