No you are not eligible to wrile nda exam because for this your age should be 16.5years to 19years.

Eligibility criteria:
You have to pass 12th class with a recognised board.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

You should be a citizen of india.

You must be physically fit.

Sorry to say this you are not eligible to write NDA exam because the maximum age 19years you are already crossed the age limit so wor are not eligible.

NDA has three wings:
Indian army,
Indian navy,
Indian airforce.
NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year.

Eligibility criteria:
You should be complete 12th from any recognised state board of india.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Age limits is 16.5years to 19years.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

You should be a citizen of india.

You must be physically fit.

Selection procedure:
Written test,
Personal interview,

I am sorry to say but you are eligible to apply for NDA entrance exam at the Age of 21 years. Because maximum Age limit for NDA is 19 years.


NDA entrance exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as NDAI & NDAII.

NDA is National Defence Academy & through NDA you can join following defence wings..

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force


Eligibiliy for NDA entrance exam is as follows..

For Indian Army: You should have completed your 12th Class or equivalent examination from recognized University/board. Your Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

For Air Force, Navy: You should have completed 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects from recognized University/board. Your Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Sir, my name is Rajat Gurung and my date of birth is 30 april 1994. I have just given my 12th exam from CBSE Course. While trying ON LINE for entrance exam of NDA its not accepting. Am I not elligible.

Its harsh i want to know that my age will be 19yrs 11months when i will apply for nda enterance exam can you so will i be allowed to get in nda plz reply me or mail me on [email protected]

the candidate have minimum 60% in his intermediate.
they take only unmarried male only.

NDA stand for the National Defence Academy & the NDA entrance examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice in every year for the selection of the different wing of the NDA. Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination. :-
-->Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. 12th board exam appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination.
-->The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of examination.

NOTE :-- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. Female candidates are not eligible to apply for NDA entrance examination.

So, as per eligibility criteria you are not eligible to apply for the NDA entrance examination because you exceed the maximum age limit. NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year in month of April and August.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for N.D.A exam at the age of 21 year.

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

Sorry my friend you are not eligible to apply for NDA exam. NDA stands for National defence academy examination, it is conducted by upsc twice in a year to recruit personell for indian army, indian air force and indian navy.
Minimum qualification should be 12th passed in any stream to apply for indian army and 12th passed with physics and maths to apply for indian air force and navy.

Age limit requirement is 16.5 to 19 years so i will suggest you not to think about this as that will be a wastage of time. So kindly do your graduation and apply for CDS if you really want to join defence services process is same but graduation in any discipline is required to apply for indian army and graduation in engineering ,physics and maths is required to apply for air force and navy.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical Fitness.

If you are interested for Defence services, you can join it through CDS(Combined Defence Service) conducted by UPSC twice every year after Graduation within the age of 19 to 25 years.

No with 21 years of age you can't apply for NDA examination.

The age for NDA examination is between 16.5 to 19 years and unmarried males are only eligible for it.

There are non officers post for your if you want to join Indian Defence.

For non officers post one must be below 23 years of age .So you will be eligible for non officer posts if you have the required physical fitness.

Non Officers posts are Clerk, Soldier, Nursing Assistant etc in Indian Army.

There are posts in Air Force also for Group Y Trades and in Navy there are post like Artificier Apprentice and Senior Secondary Sailors.

The selection in these posts will depend on the written exam and physical fitness test.

If you are only interested in Officers post then you have to complete Graduation and then apply for CDS examination.

No your Not eligible to apply for NDA Examination .Because you have Not satisfy the age Criteria. To apply for NDA Examination then your age should below 19 years than Only your eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

But at present you have 21 years of age. So your not eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

You have not Mention your Educational Qualification. If your Complete Bachelor degree Course, then I suggest you to apply for CDS (Combined Defence Service) Examination .

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service and this Examination is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission . This CDS Examination Army/Navy/Airforce/and Officer Training .

The Age Criteria for this CDS Examination is differ from Wing to Wing .

To apply for Army/Officer Training Academy than you should hold Bachelor degree Course in any discipline from recognized University . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .
