can we join the navy merchant after the civil engineering.....if yes then how

Yes you can join Merchant Navy after doing civil engineering but you have to qualify for Combined Defense Service examination for the same .

Eligibility criteria for CDS examination and for the Indian Navy are as following :-

* You must be an Indian .

* Your age must be 19 years to 22 years .No provision of age relaxation .

* You must have a bachelor degree with either of the given subjects which are Physics , Chemistry or engineering course from a reputed university .

* You must be physically and mentally fit .

The CDS exams are conducted by union public service commission twice every year and are popularly known as CDS I and CDS II .

A bachelor degree from a recognized university from science background.

Any graduation in any stream.

Age limit:

Age limit for CDS exam is 19-23 years.

Nationality: Indian Citizen

Candidate should be physically as well as mentally fit.

Selection Process:

Written exam which consist General ability, Mathematics and English.

After clearing written exam, you will be called for Interview.
