Dear friend

You can join Indian Air Force as a Graduate or as an Engineer.

In both the sections there are Flying Branch, Technical branch and Ground duty branches.

In Flying branch the entry schemes are combined defence service examination, NCC special entry and Short service commission (only for 14 years).
The age limit being 19-23 years.

In Technical Direct Entry Schemes branch the entry schemes are Direct Entry Scheme and University Entry Scheme . The age limit in technical branch is 18-28 years.

the power handling and many application require EE engineers

Definitely EEE people have good job opportunities in Indian air Force.

You can join IAF as a Technician or an Inspector.

But I suggest you to specialize in Avionics so that, you can have better opportunities and preference than others.

In the Indian Air Force an Indian citizen can join in as a Graduate or as an Engineer. The options available for them are the Ground duty, Technical and Flying division. Electrical Engineers can join in any 3 divisions. For the flying branch the entry scheme are CDS, NCC special entry and SSC. The candidates must be under 19 – 23 years of age. i m pursing eee engineerig now i m in third year an i want to join air force can i join itas technical branch

I am in pre-final year of Electrical Engineering. I want to apply in IAF through University Entrance Scheme (UES). It seems that only Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) & Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) students are eligible for this.
Please clarify.
