Behavior Specialist/Behavior Management Technician
Completes behavioral observations, monitoring and recording behavior of developmentally delayed clients in group home and residential treatment settings. Utilizes knowledge of applied behavior analytic principles to assess, manage, and improve behavior for independent living and vocational skills and socialization.

Psychology Associate
Serves in full capacity as a therapist and diagnostician for outpatient mental health concerns, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Conducts group and individual therapy for depression, anxiety disorders and adjustment disorders. Performs psychological testing, including intellectual and personality assessment and court evaluations.

Neuropsychometrist
Conducts neuropsychological screenings and testing to assess brain function and recovery in brain-injured clients. Presents results at case staffings and works with neuropsychologists, therapists, and other clinical staff to integrate recovery and aftercare.

Health Project Coordinator
Administers structured psychiatric interviews for clinical research protocols; coordinates patient contacts for grant-funded clinical trials; and collects, analyzes and aids in interpretation of outcome data for psychological and psychiatric interventions

Various government offices often hire individuals with a master's degree in psychology to perform a range of duties such as performing research or providing psychological services. I am this middle class student from a small town in Assam where you can never have enough information about prospective careers. I wanted to progress and know the greater world, to change things here in Assam but at the same time i need a career that provides economic security.People around me told me that you have to either go for engg or medical or bribe to get a government job. So i went for medical coaching but it disappointed me.Lately i am doing a bit of research through internet and have taken a few career and personality tests- they have suggested areas like counselling and psycology. Do psycology have enough scope in northeast or rather India? Is it wise to move to arts after i have passed 12th science state boards with 90%? I really need some advices, probably from one who knows the real scenario of job prospects for psycologists in india because it is not a popular course and i have got to convince my parents..... i am confued and tensed ...... if i cannot convince them i would have to take up Che or Phy........Can anyone help me?????
