These entrance exams hold very little value for campus placement. The real value is of your academic performance as well the university from where you are pursuing Master of Business Administration.

The value of Common Admission Test is from the fact that Indian Institute of Management accepts candidates from this particular test. IIMs are considered as the best business school in the country.

A lot of candidates from IIMs are offered jobs in foreign countries especially in the banking sector. IIM Ahmedabad is considered as the top Business school in the country. So naturally pursuing MBA from a IIM would hold great value for on campus placement.

Most top companies in hunt for MBA graduates comes to Indian Institute of Management. Companies not just from India but across the world. This increases the chances of getting good job even before you have completed the MBA course.

So it is only natural that most MBA aspirants want to pursue the course from IIM which is why most candidates appear for the Common Admission Test. The requirement to appear for CAT is 50 percent marks in graduation degree. SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks.

Now as far as MAT is concerned, there are all type of colleges that accept MAT. Some of them are reputed while others are not. So if you are appearing for Management Aptitude Test, please ensure that the college is reputed before taking admission.

Less popular MBA college would mean that very few or no big companies will come for on campus placement. MAT entrance exam is generally pursued by the candidates who have low percentage in graduation to appear for other entrance exams.

GMAT is a exam which not only is accepted by Indian universities but several foreign universities as well. Now if you want to apply for foreign university please first verify that its not a fake university. There have been several such incidents. On campus will depend on the reputation of the college. Don't forget to check that before applying.

Dear,

Although syllabus for campus placement tests and CAT are almost same. Both of them have numerical ability, reasoning, verbal ability, english and comprehension but yes the standard of CAT exam is much much higher than that of a placement test.

Same is the case with GMAT or MAT. All of these MBA entrance exams have high standard. If you prepare for your aptitude keeping in mind the standard of these exams then obviously you will develop a high level of aptitude skill in you and thus placement tests will be a game for you. So, I will suggest you to maintain your preparation level to these standard. If you will have high level of aptitude skill then cracking aptitude of a placement test will be very easy for you.

For placement tests apart from aptitude sometimes technical part is also asked. So with your aptitude you should also prepare for it from good books and brushing up your basics.

Best of luck!
