can we do msc directly after b.tech biotechnology?

since you are studying B.tech, you will have many options for jobs after your course is over

you can get jobs in the following fields:

1.Pharmaceutical companies

2.agriculture oriented companies

3.Genetic engineering

4.cloning

5.Medicine producing companies

6.chemical industries

7.Research works on various fields related to agriculture,crops,drugs, etc

8.IT sector jobs(SINCE YOU ARE B.TECH GRADUATE)

9.animal husbandry

10.health care



you can pursue HIGHER EDUCATION in M.Tech.after doing M.Tech you will get many offers related to works on research projects on several things,you can join them if you think are innovative

genetic works and projects related to genes,medicine and food are very popular on which many bio Tech graduates work on

You can earn a very good MONTHLY salary ranging between rs.20000-60000 based on your work

and if you can discover some new drug or some new type of therapy, then you will get patent of that new product and you will earn royalty from it as long as you live

if your research papers are good enough, you will get chances to work as scientist in world class Universities and laboratories in USA,GERMANY,RUSSIA and there also you will be well paid

i have completed 12th in andhra pradesh. i studied only MPC. there was no biology. now if i do engineering in biotechnology is that good for me? will you advise me to do that???

Biotech is a stream which requires knowledge in biology,chemistry,physics and maths.

If u are not a student of biology,then I would advice you not to study engineering in biotechnology.
Biotechnology cannot be studied if one doesn't have a clear base in biology.

But if you are really interested in this field and work hard day & night then you will surely succeed.

After B.tech in biotechnology if you are interested in research than you can do it there is no problem in that.Try to do your masters from reputed institutes like IISc which conducts
there exams for admission into there post graduation courses.As for these courses institutes matter much more than the degree for it is a practical field.
Other than this you can opt for MBA in biotechnology which is also a very good option
as it will increase your chances in getting a job in many pharma companies for managerial
posts if you don't wanna do much research and get a quick job after PG.
You can also opt for MS in agriculture
