IPS Stands for Indian Police Services and to become IPS Officer, you have to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination. This examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to fulfill the given Eligibility Criteria :

Eligibility For IPS :

~~ You have to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
~~ Your age should between 21 to 30 years
~~ Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates
~~ Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for this examination

If you have fulfill these Requirements then you are eligible to appeared for UPSC Civil services examination to become IPS Officer.

But the last date of apply for this year Preliminary examination was already Over. So if you have not applied for this examination this time, then you have to wait for the Next examination Notification. The Notification will be Published in the month of February and eligible candidates may fill the application form online Only.

This year Civil services Preliminary examination is going to be held soon on 20/May/2012.

In this examination candidates will get certain Limits to cracked this examination, If you will failed to cracked this examination in these given limits then you cant apply for this examination again. So, please prepared well and then apply for this examination.

Number of Attempts :

~~ For General candidates : 4 Attempts
~~ For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
~~ For SC/ST : No Limits
