you can apply firstly civil service exam exam and IES exam,both exam conduct by UPSE every year,

Hellow,
After completing Electronics and Communication Engineering,there are various Govt.jobs present for applying,like BSNL,NTPC,etc.
Eligibility criterias are :
1.Candidate should be Diploma or B.tech in such stream that they can apply.
2.Carrying 60% marks in throughout 6th(for diploma) or 8th(for B.tech).

You have to follow the News paper where these kinds of exam notice published.You should be prepeared for these exam by lot of practise of short qstn. answer and look out various suggesion papers which helps you most.

After completing my b.e i can i apply for government job as i my private college student?

Details of Civil Service exam:

Eligibility criteria for Civil Service exam:
You should have have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

This exam consist of two,that are Preliminary Exam and Main Exam.
Preliminary Exam Dates:
Issuing of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.

If you qualify Preliminary Exam,then only you can appear for Main Exam.

Main Exam Dates:
Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.

Details of IES Exam:

Eligibility criteria for IES:
You should have complete minimum Graduation degree in any one course mentioned below
>>Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
>>Electrical Engineering
>>Mechanical Engineering
>>Civil Engineering
And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Indian Engineering Service Dates:
Issuing of application form from 25th Feb 2012 to 24th March 2012.
Exam will held on 15th June 2012.

Details of BSNL JTO Exam:

Eligibility criteria for BSNL JTO exam:
You should have complete graduation degree in any of one course mentioned below.
>>Radio Engineering
>>Instrumentation Engineering
>>Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering
>>Computer Engineering
And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

BSNL JTO dates:
Last date to fill the form is 12th Dec 2011.
Exam will held on 19th Feb 2012.

you are elligible for many govn. jobs, you can get subscribed from the website of staff selection commision of your state to know which job is currently available and what is its eligibility criteria, and you are also eligible for defence service , you can go in navy army or airforce in technical branch, you can visit their link for more info,
you can also apply for IES, CDS, AFCAT, etc
and the criteria for all the govn. job is 60%, in some cases it can be 55% also
