Re: Which exam to give after completing engineering with electrical branch?
You are eligible to apply for GATE. GATE qualified candidates with marks between 60-70% marks (minimum) can apply for PSU jobs. You can try for IES exam. IES holders can have reputed jobs under central government. You can apply for job positions in coastal guard or defense.

Re: Which exam to give after completing engineering with electrical branch?
You need to be more specific. Are you talking about entrance exam for further studies or job? It would have been better if you had made that clear. Anyway I will point out both for you.
In you want to continue studying the GATE entrance exam would be good. You can appear for General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for admission in M.Tech. To appear you must have either completed B.Tech or should be in final year. Other education option would be MBA. To do MBA you can appear for Common Admission Test (CAT). You should have at least 50 percent marks in graduation to appear for Common Admission Test. Other entrance exam would be Management Aptitude Test which is for candidates with less than 50 percent marks. Now coming to entrance exams for job. Since you are engineering graduation, the best option would be Indian Engineering Service (IES). Electrical Engineering graduates are eligible to appear for this entrance exam. It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission so that various jobs in central government departments can be filled. These jobs are very reputed and therefore you should definitely try for it. Eligibility 1. Candidate must be Indian national. 2. Your electrical engineering degree would be sufficient. 3. Percentage is not the issue. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. The candidate of OBC category can appear till 33 years. 6. SC/ST can appear for exam till 35 years. Public Sector Undertaking The other good option for Engineering graduate is Public Sector Undertaking. There is no common entrance exam for it. Each PSU will conduct its own separate entrance exam for different date. Even notification is issued separately. Eligibility 1. PSU jobs applicant should be Indian citizen. 2. A valid degree in a stream of B.tech. 3. Must have at least 60 percent marks. 4. SC/ST and OBC are given relaxation as per govt rules. 5. The age limit is 21 to 30 years for PSU jobs. 6. Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC while 5 years for SC/ST. |
