Warm greeting for the day;

First of all you have to collect a authorized letter from your institution with seal Regarding your Branch and you are willing to do a Training in DRDO.

And Second you have to contact any scientist of the DRDO without the scientist approval you are not able to get the training in DRDO.

and you need a character certificate also.

for applying in the summer training in the DRDO is taken by some simple steps:
1)make the training letter from your college,
2)fill application form for the summer training and submit the letter,
3)the authority selects the candidate as their eligibility.
so you can apply for the DRDO summer training.

As per DRDO website you can apply for summer training to Director of a suitable lab as per your discipline. You should approach the DRDO lab director with your recommendation letter. He will inform you about the rest of the process for doing summer internship from DRDO.

You should contact the Head of your College/Institute regarding this and its always preferable that your college Authorities deal the matter directly with the DRDO officials.

Since each laboratory has a different field of research, development and core competence like armaments,materials,electronics,heavy vehicles,missiles,life sciences and other such fields.As there are a cluster of laboratories under the Ministry of Defence, each has different training policies based on their security restrictions.

The Director of the concerned lab is the only approving authority for industrial trainings. Its there by suggested that you should directly contact the Director of the concerned lab in which you desire to get your training through the Head of your College/Institute.

For companies like DRDO its better that you visit the official website.

Procedure for summer training in DRDO for Mechanical Engineering students are as follows: -

Contact training & placement officer of your college regarding summer training in DRDO and through your college you may contact to the personnel department OR HR department of DRDO.

The personnel department Or HR department of DRDO helps & guide you regarding summer training, summer training schedule, summer training duration etc.
