Re: How can female candidates make a career in Airforce?
Surely women can join in these field if they aspire to do so. You will need to appear for the short service commission exam. Married candidates are not allowed to apply. It is a must that the candidate applying should be a graduate. Either the candidate should have pursued Maths and Physics in 12th standard or should have pursued graduation in engineering field.

Re: How can female candidates make a career in Airforce?
hi. You can begin your Air Force joining process, by sending your application for the relevant branch. They will scan your application, and based on merit, will call you to one of their selection boards. Candidates short-listed after the initial selection procedure, which means a four step process
Step 1 – Scrutiny of Applications Step 2 – Testing Officer Like Qualities. These tests will be explained to you in detail before they are conducted at the Selection Board. The following is the schedule for OLQ Tests: Schedule Day 1: Pilot Aptitude Battery Test* (Phase I)** Intelligence Tests/ Psychological Tests (Phase I)** Intelligence Tests/ Psychological Tests (Phase I)** Day 2: Phase I & Psychological Tests Group tests Group tests Day 3: Group tests Group tests Group tests Day 4: Group tests Interview Interview Day 5: Interview Conference Conference Day 6: Conference Step 3 – Conducting of Medical Examinations Step 4 – Preparing All India Merit List to no more about the above tests click the following link http://careerairforce.nic.in/career_opp/caropp_officer_selproc.html After you pass all this you will have to go through a rigorous training regimen at one of the Air Force training establishments. After which they are given a short service commission. If the Indian Air Force grants you the Short Service Commission, it means that you have been accepted in service for a period of ten years. Depending upon your performance, Air Force requirements and your inclination to continue, you can extend your tenure by five years.Thereafter, you can extend your tenure by another five years or retire at forty whichever comes first. After all this if airforce is satisfied with you they will post you as officers and you will be posted at any of the Air Force Stations. ALL THE BEST |
