how to enter Indian air force...while doing engineering in mechanical branch

If you are in final year of engineering or if you are completed your engineering then only you are eligible for Indian Airforce through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam, which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in every year.


CDS has 4 wings:-

Indian Airforce academy,

Indian Military academy,

Indian Naval academy,

Officers Training academy.


Eligibility details:-

Details about Indian Airforce:

You should be complete BE/B.Tech from a recognised university.

The age limits bra 19 years to 23 years, no relaxation.


Details about Indian Naval academy:

The candidate should be complete Graduation in BE/B.Tech from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 22 years, no relaxation.


Details about Indian Military academy:

The applicant should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 24 years, no relaxation.


Details about Officers Training academy:

The applicant should be complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 25 years, no relaxation.


And

You should be an Indian citizen.

Male and Female candidates are both are applicable.


Selection process:-

Written exam,

Personal Interview,

Medical test.

Nationality : Citizen of Indian

Indian Military Academy / Officer's Training Academy :

Candidates must be complete Graduation from a recognized University (OR) equivalent

Indian Air Force Academy : Candidates age limit between 19 to 23 years

Indian Military Academy : Candidates age limit between 19 to 24 years

Indian Naval Academy :

Candidates should be complete B.Sc with Physics & Mathematics (OR) Bachelor of Engineering

Candidates age limit between 19 to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy :

Graduation from a recognized University with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level (OR) Bachelor of Engineering

Candidates age limit between 19 to 25 years
