hello sir i am completed my 10th class in this year to a 68% marks.
and how can i join in merchant navy.

You can join indian navy after 12thclass if you have physics, maths and chemistry combination.so as do join merchant navy..

but you must have scored more than 60% in PCM in 12th board. and you have more than this.................

you can join as a deck cadet on board a ship and train on the job for three years. After the on-job training one has to appear for the competency examination, as required by the Union Ministry of Surface Transport, to be eligible to become a Navigation Officer.

The physical requirement:--
Minimum height of 157cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.
should not be color blind.

So you go to now higher study like 12th
if after graduation
you entry in navy then you got the good salary and good rank

but if you want to entry now

you can't join Merchant navy after 10th class.

To join Merchant navy you have to pass 12th with Physics,Chemistry and Maths.

Educational qualification-

12th class with physics, maths and chemistry.

but you required more than 60% in PCM in 12th board.

So to join Merchant navy first pass 12th with required qualification.

After 10th class you can join the merchant navy as-
i. 4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating.
ii. 3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating.
iii. 3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating.
iv. 4 month Pre-Sea Course for Saloon rating.

There are four Government Training Institutes providing Pre-Sea and Post-Sea training of international standard :

i. Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai.
ii. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata.
iii. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai.
iv. Lal Bahadur Shastri College of advanced Maritime Studies and Research, Mumbai.

If you want to join Merchant navy, you should have PCM (Physics, chemistry,Maths) in 10+2 with minimum 60%.

It not demands good marks only,but a candidate must have good height, weight and health. Men should have 157cms height and women should have 152cms.
With this a candidate should have correlated weight.
A candidate should not suffer from color blindness.
Candidate should not suffer from any type of desease or ill health.

In this you can get on job training. After the on-job training you have to appear for the competency examination, as required by the Union Ministry of Surface Transport, to be eligible to become a Navigation Officer.

sorry to say dear you must passed 10+2 with 60% (PCM) .

you have just passed 10th with 68 % but you have to completed your 10+2 standard with PCM.

then you are eligible for merchant navy.

Since you are interested in merchant navy, you should pursue your +2 with maths, physics and chemistry. After qualifying the +2 level of examination, you should either pursue marine engineering or BSc Nautical science.
Marine engineering will enable you to join the engineering department of merchant navy and a bachelors degree of nautical science will enable you to join the navigation department.
If you follow maths, physics and chemistry at +2 level, you may join merchant navy as deck cadet without going for any bachelors degree program.
A candidate holding a degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or electronics and telecommunication can also join the engineering department but to have a better career in merchant navy, you should either pursue marine engineering or nautical science.

Merchant navy is one of the most demanding and challenging careers of the world. For getting into it first you have to be sea loving, adventurous and in na habit of living away from home for a long time. Some of the courses for getting into merchant navy are:-.
1. B.Sc Nautical Science.
2. B.Tech Marine engineering.
3. Diploma Nautical science.
4. deck cadet course.

For B.Sc nautical science, Diploma Nautical science and b.tech marine engineering you should be 10+2 with physics and maths and have scored at least 60% marks in it and 10th with English as the compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in it.

Some of the reputed colleges for merchant navy are:-
