how can i join after b.tech from mechanical engineering

If you are interested to join in Merchant Navy after passing B.Tech you can join in two ways.Deck Cadet job for you to apply and you can also go Indian Navy through the NDA(National Defence Academy).Merchant Navy is one of the most lucerative field in the world. It is certainly attracting thousands of young boys and now even girls.

Eligibility Criteria:

**Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Marine/Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Naval Architecture/Electrical Engineering

**Candidate should be secure atleast 50% of marks in Diploma Course.

**Candidate age limit is 28 years.

**Candidate should also score 50% in English at 10th,12th or Diploma course.

**Unmarried Male and Female Candidate are eligible.

**Candidates Passing 12th(PCM) are eligible for Merchant Navy course. But age not more than 20 years.For SC/St can apply till 25 years.

NOTE: Candidates who have completed B.Tech courses as mentioned above they are also eligible for seveal officer level jobs in Merchant Navy.How ever Candidates will have to undergo through a 9 months log pre-sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI
