How to do BCA course after passing 12th from commerce background? What is the eligibility criteria?


i just passed way 12th last year from comerce background no mathematics nw a day i plan to do BCA corse plz tet me im aplicable for that or nt.if not how can do please sugest me eligibiity cryteria???

Candidates from non science background too can apply for the BCA course. But they are eligible only if they have studied Maths in 12th standard. Some institutes provide admission to candidates from non mathematics background if they have CIS certificate. Other than is a candidate who is less than 17 years old cannot apply for this course. You need to check with the university near you for the details.

If you have taken maths as a optional subject with your basic subjects of commerce then you are eligible for BCA.

Eligibility Criteria for BCA:

1. The candidate must be 10+2 with maths as a mandatory from recognized board with at least 60 percent marks.

Yes,a candidate with commerce
background is eligible to do BCA
(Bachelor of Computer Application)
course.
Minimum eligibility that you will
have to meet are :-
1)Your minimum marks in class
12th should be 60%.
2)You should be passed out from a
recognized university/board.
But apart from these you should
also have good knoweledge in
Mathematics. Without mathematics
you will not able to score good
marks and you will also faced
difficulty for taking admission in
MCA course. In BCA you will have
to studied Numerical and Statistical
methods, Discrete Mathematics,
Fuzzy Logic and these subjects
again you have to studied in MCA
course.
Other difficulties which you will
have to face while taking admission
in MCA course is that most of the
institutions will not allowed to take
admission such as in
IIT,NIT,BIT,JNU..etc.
Their eligibility condition's are :-
1)Candidates should have 60%
marks in their graduation with
mathematics as one of the paper.
2)Candidates must have studied
mathematics in Inter level.
After completing your BCA you will
have to apply for various MCA
entrance's exam for taking
admission in MCA course and some
of these are :-
1)AIMCET.
2)NIMCET.
3)BITCAT.
4)BHU-JEE.
5)JNU-JEE.
6)JECA West Bengal...and many
more.

Yes, Undoubtedly A commerce
student can admit in BCA . There
are large number of universities
offer BCA for Arts , Commerce and
Science student . Such as IGNOU-
New Delhi provides feature of
admission in BCA without
Mathematical background in
Intermediate but they need to
register for MTE-03 and CIC in 1st
Semester of BCA and successfully
complete before registering for the
3rd Semester of the BCA
Programme.
