Unfortunately commerce students are not eligible for the Merchant Navy.

There are two ways through which one can get into merchant navy i.e., 1). Direct Entry as Cadet and 2). Officers Entry.

For direct entry as a cadet, candidates should have passed their 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) subjects from the recognized board exam.

They should have scored minimum 50% marks in their 10+2.

Both unmarried males and females are eligible for it.

Candidates should possess nationality of India.

For Officers entry, one should has completed his/her B.E./B.Tech in marine engineering or bachelor degree in nautical science. And of course for that, they should have completed their 10+2 with science stream.

So, Commerce students are not eligible for it.
