You can appear for GATE by this year or after completing the course. As a first step, try to set up a suitable time table based on exam syllabus. Reference books and prescribed books for engineering degree can be used for exam preparation. Practicing previous year question papers is an effective method to clear the exam. You can approach coaching centers, if feel difficulty in self preparation.
