i want to appear for ies 2010 wid electronics and communications,is the time left sufficient for preparation...suggest some compact study material in the respective course...

There is nothing to worry,one of the best way to improve your english is to read more and more news papers,read different types of news papers.

for improving your language follow Wren & Martin book.

shriya...first you should be very clear about your ies syllabus.
find out the units that have direct questions and study them well initially.
then go for units that you have studied well during your academic year.
after that go for units you feel difficult,choose easier chapters.
atlast go for rest of the units.....don't put more effort.
revise all the units once again.

mr.jaganvarma.....english is nothing, you don't bother about that.only practice makes you perfect.concentrate in your subject.....know simple english, is enough to become ies....don't let your confidence........all the best.don't bother about others.

hi jagdish u r basically from which state? u b perfect in ur basic first thats it then automatically u can gain confident in english

is the syllabus for GATE,IES,JTO(electronics the same?

i was selected in june 2008, i prepared for this exam in just 3 months, every body can do that, just focus on previous yr papers and english

be confidant on urself & start to study with help of dictionary & go to step by step
& always be positive

just prepare according to the syllabus provided by them.............download some previous year question papers and solve them so that you can have a rough idea about the question paper pattern............by doing this you will also get to know how much time you require for answering the paper and you can manage your time accordingly............

try to clear all your doubts for the main topics according to you........

presently i am working in a college.
i donot understand whether to prepare with regular batch or weekend batch

hello friend i would really like to help you that you should start with aweekend program and side by side you should go for self study and they will provide you regular preparation materials withh which you will be able to boost your preparation
and take few doubt classes so that you would be able to clear all of your doubts so i think it would be better than regular

just follow the syllabus of gate and jto for tecnical part and also you have to devote extra time for the preparation of general studies
it would be better for you that you take some extra coaching for the preparation of the interview
