In order to join the National Defense Academy, you must have qualified Higher Secondary level of examination from a recognized board.
Now, as far as the entrance examination is concerned, it is conducted by union Public Service Commission for admission in all the three wings of National Defense Academy:

Army Wing
Air Force Wing
Naval Wing

For Air Force Wing and the Naval Wing, the subject combination of Physics and Maths in higher secondary level is mandatory whereas, for the Army Wing, it is not so.
The syllabus, however, for NDA exam is common for all the branches and it comprise of two papers:
Mathematics
General Ability Test

Each of these papers comprise of the following topics:

Mathematics
Algebra
Matrices and Determinants
Geometry
Trigonometry
Differential Calculus
Integral Calculus
Vector Algebra
Statistics
Probability

General Ability Test
English
Physics
Chemistry
General Science
History
Geography
Current Event

5.Height criteria :
The height of the candidate should be minimum 165 cm.

National Defence Academy (NDA)

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC government twice in a year in which interested candidate can apply for it according to the NDA eligibility.

Structure of exam :
It is divided in two parts - Mathematics and General Ability.
Timing : 2 and 1/2 hours

Eligibility Criteria :
> You must have completed 10+2 from a recognized and if currently doing can apply
> Your age must be between 16.5 to 19 years
> You must be a permanent citizen of India
> You must be an unmarried male
> You must be physically fit

Preparation :
> English vocabulary should needs to be good
> The science question mostly comes from CBSE syllabus of class XI
> Read magazines, newspapers and the monthly question materials for solving them
> Quick reference of the competitive success will improve general knowlege

National Defence Academy (NDA) is conducted by UPSC government twice in a year that is NDA I and NDA II.
It consists of three wings :
Navy wing
Army wing
Air Force wing

Those candidates who have cleared 12th with science stream (PCM) can apply for any of the three wings but those candidates who have taken Commerce can apply only for the Army wing.
