i pass out B.tech (food tech.) 1st yr with all clear .

i want to prepare for the GATE exam.

so tell me how to prepare gate exam ?

You can apply for GATE only after completing Btech or in your final year.
Although questions asked in GATE are not too tough but competition is very high because of high number of candidates.

GATE is conducted Feb/March . It is an online test conducted by IITs and GATE score is valid for three years.

Questions asked in GATE are , aptitude and theoretical questions from your B.Tech. You can look into previous year papers to get an idea about the pattern of questions. There are no need of coaching , you can do it by self study.
