If you are seriously considering LLB as career option then I must point out that correspondence degree is not acceptable in case of LLB. In India, LLB course is only available through regular mode.

Bar Council of India does not recognize correspondence degree. Therefore I will not recommend it to you. With correspondence degree you can not register with the local bar council and at the same time you are not allowed to practice as a lawyer in any Indian court.

It makes no sense to do LLB through correspondence. To do it through regular mode, you may find it difficult since you are Vice President of a school. College timings will clash with your school timings.

Please consider all this before applying for the LLB course. You must also keep in mind the age limit to apply for the course. Earlier there was no age limit to apply for LLB but it has been changed now.

LLB Criteria

1. You need minimum qualification of graduation.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST.

4. You can not apply for the course after 30 years of age.

5. SC/ST can apply till 35 years.

6. There is no relaxation for OBC candidates.

Dear Friend,

First of all i would like to clear you that the LLB Course done offered through correspondence doesn`t mean any thing.

This is because the Bar Council Of India [BCI] does not accept LLB degree completed through Correspondence mode.

To be acceptable, the candidate needs to have a LLB degree through Regular mode so that he/she can practice as a lawyer in the court.

Also as a vice principal , you will have to tackle with difficulties as you have to complete the course in regular mode and if you do this then it will affect your college timings.

So , first of all you have to decide that how will you manage all these along with your college timings.

Anyways , i have provided you the Requisites of LLB Course for your sake :

a) You need to have completed the graduation degree from any UGC recognized university in any stream.

b) You need to have a minimum of 45% marks in graduation to be eligible for this course.

c) Relaxation in marks is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories.

d) Due to recent changes , your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

e) Relaxation in upper age is given as per the Govt. rules.

f) OBC Candidates do not get any relaxation in upper age.

g) You must be an Indian Citizen.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

There are many who says that llb through distance does not make any sense. So if anybody wants to pursue through the distance mode what are the options available after completion.
