After MCA can i eligible for Mtech from IIT's,IIsc's and ISI ?
My Madhyamik score was 77.75% , higher secondary score was 62.8% and Bsc general score was 39.35% (drop in Bsc for 2 yr) .If My mca cgpa from wbut is 8.5 pointer then can i elligible for mtech from IIT's,IIsc's and ISI ? can i go abroad for mtech or phd with scholarship ? what can i do ? please give me the details.

Actually MTech after MCA is considered better than MTech after BTech since MCA is a masters degree. So MTech after MCA is a perfect choice

Surely, it is possible to do MTech after MCA. There are many universities which are admitting students in M.tech courses on the basis of their performance in MCA.

But since your percentage of marks is very low in bachelors degree course i.e. BSc. You may not be able to do MTech. But don’t loose heart you have scored well in MCA. You can utilize your MCA degree to have a bright career prospect.

Due to the increasing demand of IT services in India a MCA candidates gets good job with huge pay packets. You can join top IT companies like, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Mahindra Satyam etc.

Yes you are eligible for writing the GATE exam as you have completed the MCA. The basic eligibilities is that you must have mathematics and science in your graduation. so this will fulfill the criteria.
So don't get nervous just prepare for the GATE exam this year held in 2nd week of jan2011.
If you are wandering to study abroad then you have to give exam like TOEFL and then the entrance exam conducted by the university.
The fees structure for it will be high such as $10000 per annum.

See your marks is good and you are genuinely eligible for this purpose.
Now see you are doing MCA after BCA and want to doing M.Tech after MCA .
First of all i tell you that as you are MCA student you have to appear in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test Exam. ) and also you have a valid score in this exam .

Overall both are master degree so it is not so much preferable .But it is as your wish.

For M.Tech GATE is must . At first you clear GATE for IITs or IIS s otherwise you have to go in the private colleges for the degree M.Tech..

So my request to you to clear the GATE 2011 and make sure a sit for you in IIT s or in IIs s.

Just one thing i want to say that please go through properly and make a clear concept about the matter . Ok it will be small in amount in your syllabus but that's is good for you .

required to do M.Tech after M.Sc. in mathematics? what is the percentage criteria to do M.Tech?

If you are really intrested to do M.tech after MCA, then i think it is your best choice.

Because after MCA, M.tech is best option to continue your study. So, to do M.tech from top colleges, then you have to appear in GATE 2011 entrance exams. After clear this exams you will get a change to got admission in IIT's.

So, please work hard and clear this entrance exams. For this entrance exams, there is no such marks creteria. you can eligible after completing you B.tech Or either MCA.

So, if you are graduate then you can apply for GATE entrance exams, which was held on jan 2011.

To do M.tech in the institutes you have mentioned...The only way is to

appear GATE exam...And qualify it with good marks....

You need to choose a stream in which you have persued your M.Sc and take your optional subjects...

You need to score well...And your dream college will run after you for addmissions...

you need the gate score card,

and for that you have to give the gate exams,

no matter how much marks you have score in the previous exams,

only gate score card is enough for the admission in the m.tech.

You need a first class for your MCA inorder to take the GATE. The IITs ask for a cgpa of atleast 8.5. To go abroad you will have to take certain other tests, like the GRE in case you’d like to pursue your studies in the US. Details for the GRE exam is available in http://www.ets.org/gre/

Yes you are eligible for M.tech after MCA........ this is better choice to do M.tech after MCA this is a master degree and then you easily get a good job after this for M.tech you need maths.....so you are eligible

students should have completed B.Tech, MCA or MSc in the any of the areas of engineering.
Most of the institutes insist at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam to accept the application.

What is % criteria of GATE for M.tech after completing an engineering ...... My last year's aggregate is 60 % and overall it is ... 57.15 %

Dear friend,

Your MCA degree marks is good for IIT ,IISc ,ISI admission but your graduation marks is too low for Admission.

Because all those institute want 60% above marks in through out.

The eligibility criteria for M-TECH admission:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

To do M.tech you have to qualify in GATE exam..
To appear in GATE exam you have to fulfill some eligibility criteria first.

Eligibility for GATE exam:-

1.One must have complete the bachelor degree in the fields like- Engineering/Technology/Architecture.

Or,

2.One must have complete the master degree in the fields like- MCA/MBA/M.Sc..

3.One can appear in GATE exam during the pre-final year or final year of graduation or post graduation.

4.No age limit.

5.No number of attempt restriction.

As you have complete the MCA course then you are eligible for GATE exam..

Gate exam eligibility:

There is no maximum age for this exam but the minimum age criteria is 18 years.

No restriction for number of attempts.

The candidate must be a citizen of india.
