Is it necessary to take Chemistry for NDA exam?


is it necessary to take chemistry for for nda? if its needed then i have to take it

Yes, Chemistry is even included in the NDA Examination.It is included in the second paper comprising of General Ability which is again split up into English and General Knowledge.English comprises of 200 marks and General Knowledge comprises of 400 marks in which 60 marks come from the Chemistry part.So, you definitely have to go through the Chemistry part to score well in NDA examination.

Chemistry Syllabus

Physical and Chemical changes. Elements, Mixtures and Compounds, Symbols, Formulae and simple Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination (excluding problems). Properties of Air and Water.
Preparation and Properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbondioxide, Oxidation and Reduction.
Acids, bases and salts.
Carbon - different forms.
Fertilizers - Natural and Artificial
Material used in the preparation of substances like soap, Glass, Ink, Paper, Cement, Paints, Safety Matches, and Gun-Powder.
Elementary ideas about the Structure of Atom, Atomic, Equivalent and Molecular Weights, Valency.

Hello,

The NDA syllabus contain the chemestry as Section “B” (Chemistry)

Physical and Chemical changes. Elements, Mixtures and Compounds, Symbols, Formulae and simple Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination (excluding problems). Properties of Air and Water.

Preparation and Properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbondioxide, Oxidation and Reduction.

So, you should have the chemestry ......

Dear,
you should by now start sharpening up your skills in chemistry as well since along with mathematics,history ,physics,general science,english and current event you will have CHEMISTRY questions(60 marks) also.
