Sorry, but girl candidates can not apply for NDA exam.

The NDA exam, 2011 eligibility criteria is as follows:

"Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1995 are eligible”.

sorry friend , but you are not elligible because only unmarried male candidates are allowed to aply for this post. there are no any criteria or post for female candidates .for your kind information i want to inform you that nda is conducted twice a year.

Sorry,Girls cannot attend the NDA exam conducted by the UPSC.if your interested in defence stream then you can apply for the Officer's Academy or the SSB after completing your graduation course.

As i know NDA exam is only for male as per the criteria of NDA

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

so better to complete your graduation and after that you may be able to appear for ssc exam to get into army

According to the eligibility criteria of NDA Girls are not eligible to apply for this exam.

As this exam is only for the Unmarried male candidates. The male candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam or has appeared in the 12th board exam are only eligible.

But girls can apply for the various defence services through CDS and UES exam.

If you are studying or want to study the engineering then you may apply through University entry Scheme(UES) or through Combined defence Service examination (CDSE).

You can also apply for the CDSE if you don't study engineering after the completion of your engineering.

So NDA exam is not for the girls. This exam is only for the male candidates. If you have interest in doing defence services then you can join by the above method explained.

No,You are Not Eligible To Apply for N.D.A.

Because the candidates born not Earlier than 2nd July,1993 and not later than

1st jan,1996 are Eligible.

No Girls are not eligible to apply for NDA Examination. Only unmarried boys are eligible to apply for NDA examination.

To apply for NDA examination, your age limit should between 16.5 to 19 years.

So, only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1996 are eligible for NDA Examination.

National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) ExaminationII:-

Girls can't appear in NDA exam.

The eligibility criteria of NDA-

Age limit-
The age of the candidate must be at least 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

Education Qualification-
The candidates who have completed class 12th and the candidates who are going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are also eligible to submit an application for NDA exam.

Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males.

NDA FOR GIRLS?

Sorry! It is pretty unfortunate that girls are not eligible to sit for the NDA exam.
Only unmarried male candidates between the age of 16.5-19 years who have 10+2
are eligible to sit for the NDA exam.

However, seeing your courage and determination, I would like to inform you that you can still be a part of the defence forces and join directly as an officer in the Short Service Commission, by appearing for the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC.


About CDSE:

The CDSE is conducted by the UPSC twice a year for the selection of eligible graduates into the various defence forces of India.Candidates may be alloted Permanent or Short Service commission as per choice andd restrictions.
Candidates can directly join as an officer in the Army,Air Force or Navy after completion of their requisite training period at the various defence academies across INDIA.
Both male and female candidates are eligible to appear for the CDSE.

Minimum Eligibility conditions for CDSE:

Educational Qualification:

Candidate must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university.
Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply.

Age Limits:

For IMA:19-23 years(Only Male)
For AFA:19-23 years(Only Male)
For NA:19-22 years(Only Male)
For OTS:19-25 years.(Both male and female).

So as you are a female,you can apply for the OTA, through the CDS exam.

Girls candidates cannot appear in NDA examination as only male indian candidates of age 16 1/2 to 19 years are eligible to appear in the examination.

Upcoming NDA examination is going to conduct on 21st August 2011. Notification in this respect has already been published out in the month of March and candidates can apply for the exam from 9th April 2011 to 1st May 2011.
