please tell me,how many times we attemp for the GATE examination

There is no restriction to apply for GATE as per number of attempts to appear the exam.

You can apply for the exams as many times as you want to.

However, it could be a disadvantage if you have no any work experience after

engineering. It is ok if you drop one year after B.Tech. for preparation of GATE but

someone is dropping 5 year after B.Tech. and he/she did neither job nor studies in

that period then it reflects a negative point. The negative point doesn't mean that

you will not be eligible for the exam, it means that you will get problems in Interview

marks. Also, persons with work experience and freshers are preferred. Those who are

neither fresher nor having work experience are less preferred. So if you are attempting

more than two three years try to get a job according to your academic profile.

dear friend you can attend so many gate time but this score valid for only 2 years that's there is no any profit to you how many time you give the GATE exam if you want to check self then doesn't matter because this is totally depend on you.
But you always remember GATE score is valid for only 2years.

you can apply for GATE exam many number of time. there are no boundation for apply in GATE.
Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.


Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

You can appear in GATE exams, Number of times You want.

So, There is no limit for appear GATE exam, you can appear unlimited times You want.

And in this exams, there is no age limit creteria, you can apply for this exams, any time.

So, if you are interested in GATE exams, then dont worry about the number of attempts, if you have passed in your 4 year bachelor degree OR Completed your Master degree, then you are eligible to appear in GATE exams.

1.minimum graduation in engineering.

final year & prefinal year btech students are allowed to attain in the gate exam.

2.after msc doing msc. students are also eligibile to attain in the gate exam.

there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam.

Hi...well there is no restriction for appearing GATE exam.You can attempt any number of times you like and there is no age limit criteria also.The only criteria for appearing for this exam is that you need to have a degree certificate in you B.E from any recognized colleges or universities.If you have fulfilled that criteria than you are eligible for the exam.It is one of the toughest exam for graduates.You can refer to books like R.S. Agrawal for the preparation.

there are no limitation in the number of attempt in GATE examination. you may appear in GATE examination as many times you want.


but at the time of admission in Master degree program few institution have some eligibility criterion like candidate should have less than 30years age and other criterion. you have to fulfill these criterion if you want to take admission.so that in this angle there are limitation. but if you want to do any other like want to join in any company with GATE score then you have to fulfill the criterion of that company. sometimes criterion will fixed the maximum number of attempts in GATE examination.

There are no attempts in the GATE exam for engineering students.
the eligibility for GATE exam is qualify the engineering degree with any stream.

The detailed eligibility criteria for the GATE examination is given below:

Hi,

There is no limit for attempting GATE exams.
GATE exams are conducted by IIT for MTech/ ME and PHd.
A person can appear as much he wants. But GATE exam is a tough exam, so you need to prepare well.
So prepare nicely and attempt and try to crack.

Well !! There are no restrictions for writing in GATe exam..
I suggest If you are academically strong..Go for Gate exam..and the results are valid for 2 years...then next year you can also give the exam..The best result will be considered..

Gate exam are conducted for taking entry into M.Tech or Master degree program. it is most suited for B.Tech students.

There is no any limitation as far as number of attempts is concerned for appearing in GATE exam.so, in simple words it can be said that you can appear as many times you want .

But problem arises as today it is getting difficult for people with year gap to get job. you can't expect to get good job after 5 or 6 years gap.so in these tough condition it is advisible to take admission after maximum of two years preparation.

Problem can also arise in terms of age as some of colleges demands candidate with less than 30 years age to get admission.

so, don't try to prepare for 5-6 years . read accordingly and try to crack it in first attempt. if failed i will advice you to take admission in other college on the basis of GATE scorecard.

There is No upper Limits For Gate, A guy who is aspiring to give Gate Exam need to Full fill only Educational Qualification which is Engineering Graduate with No Backlog at the Time of counselling @ particular college.

If you want to prepare it in your spare Time Or if you want to take this Exam seriously then you are advised to go for Gate coaching, At least For One year and then Go for it. You will Definitely crack this.

Again i am saying There is no age limits you can give this Exam at any time and at any age.

there is no specific restriction for the the no. of attempts that you can go for it. Age and your gap are the main disadvantages.

Your better option is start preparing from now,,while you are in 2nd year and you can write in 3rd yr or final year of your graduation so that you can maximise the chance of selection.

You did not mention whether you have completed graduation in engineering or pursuing candidate.

Any way, there is no limitation on the number of attempts to GATE exam which gives admissions into post graduate programs in engineering.

One can attempt for the GATE exam any number of times.

In addition there is also no particular age limit to apply for GATE exam.

Candidates who have completed graduation in engineering and the final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to appear for the exam.

But my suggestion is don't build up huge gap between course completion (Engineering) and joining of post graduation.

Number of attempts allowed in GATE = Infinity ( NO Limit )

But after passing the GATE examination, it is valid for 02 (TWO) Years only.

Actually there is no cut-off for the no.of attempts in the GATE entrance exam we can write as many times as possible.AND extraordinarily we are having a good chance for it i.e.,if we qualify for this exam once the validity for this exam is 2 years and also we will have the scholarship upto 10,000/- per month.

So if you have following education qualification then you are eligible to appear for the GATE exam.
