NDA Stands for National Defence Academy, This examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year for the Recruitment of Army, Naval and Air Force Wings.

National Defense Service exam is conducted by UPSC every year twice.This exam is conducted to intake qualified students in some Academy in Defense service like

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
For Indian Air Force/Indian Navy Academy: Candidate should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university.
For India Army Academy: Candidate should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

NDA-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
Exam will held on 15th April 2012.
NDA-II exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

How To Apply for NDA 2012

The NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam takes place twice a year in the months of April and August..

The next exam is going to be conducted on 15th April,2012 for which the forms shall be available from 31st December,2011 and the last date for form submission is 30th January,2012..

In order to appear for the NDA Exam..you need to fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria :-

1) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

2) You should have passed your 12th from a recognized board (with PCM as your subjects in 12th to join Air Force or Navy

You can go to the official website of UPSC which is http://upsc.gov.in in order to have all the information that you might need..you can also apply online for the forms through the same site..

The written exam will mainly test you on

Maths

The minimum qualification to apply for NDA (National Defence Academy),:
¤Candidate should be High school qualified with minimum qualifying marks in any stream, or equivalent, from affiliated school.
¤Age limit: 16.5-19 yr. At the time of joining.
¤Candidate should be Physically & Mentally fit, according to the exam norms.
¤Required Height: 157.5 cm (Weight should be proportionate to the height).
*The Release date of Notification for NDA 'I'-2012: December 31, 2011.
*Last date to apply: January 30, 2012.
*Exam date: April 15, 2012.
The exam will be conducted in Two phases i.e.-
1) Written test.
2) Personal Interview.
In Written exam the questions are frequently asked from following sections-
>General English.
>Basic Mathematics.
