Hello Sir, Kundan here, sir i am very much confused regarding "age criteria", i am having 85% in matric and 78% in 12th, sir i want to know about the age criteria for filling NDA the entrance form? Plz sir, tell me the solution.

Information About NDA Examination -


NDA Stands for National Defense Academy and this examination was Conducted by UPSC Two times in a year, NDA (I) and NDA (II), For this year Both the NDA Examination was already completed and If you have completed your 12Th examination then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

But to apply for NDA Examination, Your age should between 16.5 to 19 years.

So, If your age should be less than 19 years, then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination, Means your age should not crossed 19 years at the Time of Training. The selection are based on Written test, Medical test and Personal Interview conducted by SSB.

Final year 12Th candidates are also eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

The Notification of NDA (I) 2012 Examination was Going to be Published soon in the employment Newspaper on 31/Dec/2011.

The last date of apply for NDA Examination was 30/Jan/2012 and the examination was Held on 15/April/2012.

Eligible candidates may apply for any one of the Wings -

>> Army Wings - For this any 12Th passed candidates may apply.

>> Naval and Air-Force Wings - You have to complete your 12Th examination with maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year.

Candidates who have cleared 10+2 and those who are currently doing can apply
Those who had taken Physics & Mathematics in Class 12th can apply for navy and air force.
Candidates appearing for the exam must be bachelors .They must be between16 1/2 to 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam

Regarding Physical standards:-

Any candidate whose height is not within157.5cms to 162.5cms cannot apply for Air Force wing. Candidates whose chest is less than 81cms cannot apply. Candidates should have proper eye-sight. They should not be overweight or under weight

age limit should be 16.6 to 19 years.
should not be exceed from 19.
12th standard exam is required with min 60% marks and the final year of 12th candidates can also apply.

Dear pal,
NDA is National Defence academy for which exam is conducted twice a year.
The eligibility required for the exam is
ARMY:Pass in the 12th exam
NAVY and AIRFORCE: the aspirant need to have chosen maths,physics as their subjects in the 12th standard
the aspirant is eligible if he has completed the age of 16.5 and he will not be entertained to write the exam if he has crossed the age of 19.

Age Limits
>>You should be unmarried born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1995. It means you should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Educational Qualifications
>>For Army wing of NDA :- You should be 12th Class pass from a School recognized by a State Education Board or a University.

>>For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- You should be 12th Class pass from a School recognized by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics.

If you are eligible you will have to undergo an entrance test which consist of 2 papers.

• Mathematics
• Algebra
• Matrices and Determinants
• Trigonometry
• Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions
• Differential Calculus
• Integral Calculus and Differential equations
• Vector Algebra
• Statistics and Probability

Paper-2
>>General Ability Test

• Part A – ENGLISH
• Part B – GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

The question paper on General Knowledge will broadly cover the subjects : Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM

1. 10+2 passed

How can i apply for NDA exam if my age has exceeded 18 years?

Sir, i am very much interested to write this exam and get into it. But the problem i am facing is that my age has been exceeded more than 18 years. My date of birth is "16 sep 1993" as my 10th standard record. Due to this reason i am not able to apply for the 2012 exam. Kindly help me regarding this. Waiting for your reply.

N.D.A stand for National Defence academy.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C.
Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:-
> Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
> Age limit should be above 16.5year and below 19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview

NDA is the National Defense Academy entrance exam which has been conducted by the UPSC department for the job post under the defense service like :

indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Airforce etc

eligibility for the NDA entrance exam :

1. you should be passed the 12th with science with atleast 55% marks from any recognized institute.

NDA 2 exams of 2013 will be held on 11th August 2013
Notification will come out on 4th May 2013

Eligibilty to apply:
12th pass for the Army wing
12th pass with Phy and Maths as subjects for the Airforce and Navy wing

Age- Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years

For the NDA 2 2013 exams only candidates born between 2nd July 1995 to 1st January 1998 can apply.

So, you CANNOT APPLY FOR THE NDA exams now
