Re: Scope and course structure of BTech(Mechanical Engineering)?
B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), is a 4 years long undergraduate level program. It's divided into 8 semesters, each semester duration is of 6 months. In each semester, students go through theoretical, practical labs sessions and workshops which helps in gaining hands on experience.
Basically, in this branch they go through concepts such as designing, manufacturing and working of tools, machines and it's parts. In first year, they faces common subjects like remaining branches. Some of the main subjects details are given below. 1. Elements of Mechanical Engineering 2. Mechanics of Solids 3. Engineering Graphics 4. Fluid Mechanics 5. Manufacturing process 6. Machine design 7. Automobile Engineering 8. Product Design 9. Machine tools design 10. Thermodynamics 11. CAD Scope: It's a core and evergreen branch in B.Tech, which has full of opportunities in industries. They can go for government jobs in DRDO, Indian Railways, BHEL, NHAI, etc. Even plenty of private jobs are available in small, medium and large scale industries. |
