Scope and course structure of BTech(Mechanical Engineering)?


I have given my 10th Board exam and I want to become a Mechanical Engineer. So, I would like to know the course structure of Mechanical Engineering BTech course of any college. Please tell me the scope of this course as well.

B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), is a 4 years long undergraduate level program. It's divided into 8 semesters, each semester duration is of 6 months. In each semester, students go through theoretical, practical labs sessions and workshops which helps in gaining hands on experience.

Basically, in this branch they go through concepts such as designing, manufacturing and working of tools, machines and it's parts.

In first year, they faces common subjects like remaining branches.

Some of the main subjects details are given below.
1. Elements of Mechanical Engineering
2. Mechanics of Solids
3. Engineering Graphics
4. Fluid Mechanics
5. Manufacturing process
6. Machine design
7. Automobile Engineering
8. Product Design
9. Machine tools design
10. Thermodynamics

Scope:
It's a core and evergreen branch in B.Tech, which has full of opportunities in industries. They can go for government jobs in DRDO, Indian Railways, BHEL, NHAI, etc. Even plenty of private jobs are available in small, medium and large scale industries.

Master of Technology in Design Engineering

Master of Technology in Manufacturing Systems Engineering

Master of Technology in Thermal Energy and Environmental Engineering

Master of Technology in Thermal Engineering

Master of Technology in Production Engineering

Master of Technology in Thermal and Fluid Engineering

Master of Business Administration.

List of courses after Btech in Mechanical Engineering:-

It depends on your interest, if you are interested in a research part, then go for MTech. You can do M.tech in these fields:-

Manufacturing Engineering
Thermal Engineering
Robotics
Automobile Engineering etc.

or if you make your career in business then go for MBA. You have multiple choice like:-

Marketing
Finance
Operations eyc.

Students may go for technical as well as diploma courses such as:-

BTech in Mechanical Engineering is a professional course of 4 years duration which focuses on the study of production of heat and also its uses and also on various aspects of machineries.
