What are the steps to be taken to join in fashion designing course and what are the names of those institutions. My qualification is that i completed my tenth.

Let me tell you that it is not possible for you to join fashion designing course after 10th standard.
You must be at least 12th standard student in order to pursue degree course in fashion designing from a recognised Institute and after completing your 12th in any discipline you have to appear in the entrance exam conducted by the particular Institute.

You can do many Diploma and Certificate courses after 10th in Fashion Designing.

Some of the courses, you can do are certificate courses in fashion designing and garment construction, diploma in fashion design and merchandising, diploma in fashion designing and closing Technology etc.

It will be good if you study 12th first and then do a graduate course in fashion designing. Some of the course you can opt are bachelor of fashion designing, BFAD, BFT etc.

Some of the these courses are offered through entrance exam, CEED, NIFT etc.

IID: MIIT's Institute of Design

For pursuing Fashion Designing course, you must complete 10+2 first.

In 10+2, you must secure at least 50% marks from any stream.

Then, you can apply for BFD course or Bachelor of Fashion Designing course.


In entrance exam, you will have to face questions pertaining to Aptitude, English, etc.

For getting admission to NIFT, an entrance exam is conducted jointly by all NIFTs for admission.
