The syllabus for M. Sc Electronics Science, University of Pune.
The course is divided in 4 Semesters and students are to complete 100 credits in the 4 semesters.

Semester I-

Practical Courses: Experimental Techniques and Computational Techniques.

Core Theory Courses: Quantun and Statistical Mechanics, Mathematical Methods in Electronics and Properties of Electronic Materials.

General Elective Courses: Electronic Circuit Design and Analysis, Power Supplies, Electronic Instrument Design,Advanced Test and Measurement Instruments, C/C ++ Programming, Computational Methods in Electronics, Foundation of Quantum Computing, Technical Communication.



Semester II:

Practical Courses:
Practical III and Practical IV

Core Theory Courses:
Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Physics of Semiconductor Devices, Properties of Electronic Materials and Digital System Design.

General Elective Courses:
Electronic Circuit Design and Analysis, Power Electronics Devices and Systems, Industrial Applications of Optoelectronics, Sensors and Actuators, Elements of Quantum Computing and DSP: Algorithms and Application.

Special Elective Group Courses:
Group 1
Characterization Techniques, Processes in Device Fabrication and Semiconductor Foundry Techniques.

Group 2
Embedded System Design, Theory of Industrial Process Control and Industrial Controllers (PLC and PID).

Group 3
Antenna Design, Analog RF Circuit Design and Optical Fiber Communication.

Semester III

Practical Courses:
Practical V Common Lab and Practical VI Special Lab.

Core Theory Courses:
VLSI Design, Embedded System Applications and Digital Communication Technology.

General Elective Courses:
Processor Architecture and Design, VLSI Subsystem Design, Mechatronics, DSP systems (Processors and Applications), Mobile Communication Systems and Data Communication.

Special Elective Group Courses:
Group 1- CMOS System Design and CMOS System Design.
Group 2- Operating System and RTOS and Embedded System Communication Protocols.
Group 3- Communication System Design and Microwave & Satellite Communication.

Semester IV

Project/Internship Special Elective Group Courses:
Group 1- Architecture and Design of VLSI Systems.
Group 2- Architecture and Design of Embedded Systems.
Group 3- Architecture and Design of Communication Systems.
