Re: Is three year diploma equivalent to Senior secondary examination?
Yes definitely three year diploma degree is equivalent to senior secondary school degree and hence one can apply for any job or higher studies which accepts a degree equivalent to higher secondary school degree.
Meanwhile I would also like to let you know that equivalency to higher secondary school degree does not mean that you are eligible everywhere where higher secondary school degree is required as in the case of NDA entrance examination, DU UG merit based examination for which only higher secondary school degree holder are eligible not diploma degree holders. So before applying for any course you must check whether it accepts equivalent degree or not to check your eligibility for the same course. |

Re: Is three year diploma equivalent to Senior secondary examination?
In majority of courses and government job options, diploma is considered as equivalent to 10+2. You need not pursue higher secondary separately.
After diploma, you can apply for following entrance exams to get admission in bachelor's degree: Lateral Entry Entrance Test: Minimum of 60% marks is required. Joint entrance exam conducted by CBSE for admission in IITs. |

Yes three year diploma degree course is treated equivalent to higher secondary school degree and hence one can apply for the course or jobs which accepts degree equivalent to higher secondary school degree.
But for the courses or examinations like JEE ( For admission in CFTIs other than IITs ), NDA entrance examinations, etc. where equivalent degree is not accepted you need to pursue higher secondary school degree separately |
