hi,

To get a job - particularly in the current economic times - it is helpful, if not necessary to show initiative. This can be shown in various ways, from writing a cover letter, to re-writing your entire CV/resume in relation to the job.
Stores that you can fill in a job application for include most supermarkets, video stores, and some department stores. Examples of these include Target, Coles, Video Ezy, and Wal-Mart.
A resume pretty much details all your experience, details your schooling, and gives your contact details and availability. This is necessary for applying for most jobs.
A cover letter is a good way to show inituative, as it shows your employer why you would be good for the job.
