Re: What is the eligibility for niper entrance exam? is gate qualification necessary for niper?
the eligibility is :-
you should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for general, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and also have valid GATE/NET qualification. Percentage of marks or CGPA shall be calculated taking the aggregate scored by the candidate in all years or as per the norms of the concerned university/Institute. A limited number of seats are available for officially sponsored candidates from the Govt. Department /P.S.U./R&D organisation with minimum of 2 years experience. Valid GATE/NET score is essential qualification for all disciplines (including M.B.A.) except for the following category of candidates:- (i) Candidates holding B.V.Sc. /M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S. degree; (ii) Foreign nationals; (iii) NRI/NRI Sponsored candidates (in case of M.B.A (Pharm.); (iv) Sponsored candidates from Public/Private Sector undertakings, Govt. Re: What is the eligibility for niper entrance exam? is gate qualification necessary for niper?
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) conducts an admission process for its various postgraduate Programmes in Pharmacy. It was declared as Institute of National Importance by Government of India. NIPER was originally only in Mohali but later Government of India opened 6 more NIPERs in Ahmedabad, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati and Rae Bareilly.
There is a common entrance exam for all the programmes which is conducted at number of cities across India. While admission to M.S. Pharm, M.Tech Pharm and M.Pharm programmes is based only on the entrance exam admission to MBA (Pharm) is based on a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview and group Discussion. and this year gate qualification has been cancelled |

The basic consideration to appear for CET conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is passing the Graduation with minimum 60% pass percentage. Since you are only 58%, I believe you are not eligible to apply. Do check for the same with any reliable source. Good Luck. |

Hi,
It depends on your graduation stream. If you are a graduate with specialisation in pharma, Then it is not necessary for you to qualify GATE Exam. This year, the GATE qualification for CET Examination conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) has been relaxed for Graduates with Pharma. So, If you are Graduate with pharma, no need of GATE qualification. Else, you have to. Good Luck. |
