Insurance is basically a policy or a safety measure, that you own, and keep maintaining that for your security. Be it the insurance of your car, or your health, life , phone etc. You save money for it and it gets collected over time, so that god forbids, if there is any crisis time, it can repay back. It would make sure, you don't have to consider a sudden financial breakdown, or blow.
