what is minimum requirement of percentage in PCM to join Nda?

No specific percentages are required to join NDA. UPSC specifies pass in 12th as the basic qualification required. Students from science background can apply join any of the three wings. Candidate must be an unmarried male candidate with in the age group of 16 ½ to 19 years. NDA exam comprise questions on mathematics and general aptitude.

NDA National Defence Academy is the prestigious examination conducted by the UPSC for the service in ARMY,NAVY and AIR FORCE.Its a joint services academy for the Indian Armed Forces.


Essential Eligibility Criteria-:

Educational->10+2 pattern passed candidates from a recognized board or university for Army wing.

10+2 pattern passed candidates with Physics and Mathematics for the Air Force and Navy.

Age limit-:

Minimium age of the candidate must be 16 1/2 years and below 19 years.

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely NDA I and NDA II .

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam in all 3 wings .Commerce and arts student are applicable for only Indian Army wings.

If you have completed 12th standard with PCM Then you are applicable for NDA exam .This exam nit require any percentage marks 12th board.

Final year of the board exam candidate are also applicable for NDA exam.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.There are no are no age relaxation for Reserved category . Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Physical Test 3)Medical Test 4) Personal Interview.

Majority of members have misconception that certain minimum percentage is required in pcm to sit the NDA exam but there no minimum percentage is required it is just enough to pass in the pcm.
But there is other criteria needed to write the exam,

Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males.

They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

If you want to join NDA then you have to crack the NDA Examination which is conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Examination is conducted in the months of April and August as NDA-I and NDA-II .

For NDA examination there is no percentage limit for applying. There is percentage limit for TES (Technical Entry Scheme) . Hence don't get confused with TES and NDA.

Below is the Eligibilty to apply for the NDA exams:
12th pass for the Army wing

Candidates who are in class 12th Can also appply for the NDA exams
