NDA stands for National Defense Academy and to join the same one need to qualify NDA entrance examination which is held by UPSC twice every year.

* The minimum eligibility required for appearing in NDA entrance examination are as below :-

i) You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

ii) Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

iii) You must have completed your regular higher secondary school degree in any stream from a recognized board. Also for joining Indian Navy and Indian Air force you need to have PCM in your Class 12th academics.

iv) You must satisfy the physical fitness norms as per the service requirement.

So being a polytechnic diploma student you are not eligible for joining NDA as for the same regular Class 12th academics degree is required.

But you can apply for CDS entrance examination after completing your engineering degree i.e; Bachelor of Engineering / Technology.

For more details about NDA and CDS entrance examination you can log on to the link www,upsc.gov.in.

No, you are not eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination conducted twice every year.

The examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

So, to join defence service you can appear for CDS examination but after completion of B.Tech course.

The examination is conducted in two stages as written and SSB.

No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination after completion of your Polytechnic Diploma course. To be eligible to appear in NDA examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, you should be within 16.5 to 19.5 years of age and should be an unmarried male candidate. So, being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination. You can join CDS after completion of your Engineering course from a recognised university.

Sorry, you will be not eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination after polytechnic qualification.

As per UPSC the eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th or pursuing from a recognised board. Only male unmarried and physically fit candidates are eligible.

The age bar to appear for examination is 16.5-19.5 years. But, yes you will be eligible to join defence service as an officer after engineering through CDS, AFCAT etc entry.

No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA Examination on the basis of this Diploma course (Polytechnic). Before going to know your eligibility criteria, I suggest you to first go through the minimum basic educational qualification required for appearing in NDA Examination.

The basic educational qualification required to apply for NDA (National Defence Academy) and Naval Academy examination is "12th Class" or Higher Secondary course in 10+2 pattern from a recognized university. As diploma is course of 10+3 pattern and is not 12th Class course, I am very sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for this recruitment as far as my best knowledge is concerned. I suggest you to pursue Graduation after Diploma course and then you may apply for CDS (Combined Defence Service) Examination to join several wings.
