Re: What to study for getting government job after completion of civil engineering?
After completion of your graduation, you can apply for the government examinations based on the selection of your desired posts. There are many examinations for which you can prepare like IBPS (clerk/PO), SBI (clerk/PO), RBI, RRB, SSC, UPSC, etc. The candidate must be the citizen of India and the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age of the candidate should be 37 years there is an age relaxation available for the reserved candidates 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC/PH candidates. The candidate must have completed his/her graduation or equivalent from a recognized university to be eligible for the examination.

Quote:
Many public sector undertaking companies recruit engineering candidates on the basis of GATE score. Therefore, it is better to clear the GATE examinations after completion of BE / BTech Civil Engineering. Candidates can also appear for Indian Engineering Services (IES), Railway Recruitment (RRB), UPSC, State Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Bank PO, Indian Postal Services, IBPS etc. Candidates have to prepare well to clear the examination conducted for getting government jobs. |
