I have completed my graduation in B Com and done post graduation in MBA Finance, am 41 yrs old, can I still give an examination for joining CID?

CID stands for Criminal Investigation Department. For Sub Inspector posts under CID, Staff Selection Commission conducts Common Graduate level exam for which age limit is 20-30 years only.

Upper age relaxed by three years for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates.

Sorry that you are not eligible for CID with the age of 41 years. You age age should below 30 years to be eligible for CID exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must complete Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification to be eligible for CID post. Final year Graduation applicants are also eligible to apply.

- The age limit should be in between 20 to 30 years and upper age relaxation applicable for the candidates of OBC and SC/ST category.

The selection will be based on Written test which includes Tier I and II and personal interview.

You are not eligible for any post under CID at age of 41 years even if you belong to reserved category. As you have done MBA it would be better for you to go for NET exam for Lectureship as it has no upper age limit.

I am sorry to say you that you cannot appear in the CID examination at the age of 40 years.
