Re: Eligibility to appear in JEE Mains for a candidate who has a gap of 2 years after 12th CBSE?
No, you are not eligible to appear for JEE Main examination. The maximum number of attempts allowed for JEE Main examination is three times and you need to utilise these chances in three consecutive years after completion of your 12th standard from a recognised board. You can utilise three chances to appear for JEE Main examination as follows :-
1. Once in the year when you have appeared for 12th standard board examinations. 2. And other two chances in next two consecutive years after completion of your 12th standard. For example, if you have completed your 12th standard in 2013, then, you can appear for JEE Main examination in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Candidates who have passed 12th standard in 2012 and who will appear for 12th standard examination in 2016 are not eligible to appear for JEE Main examination. Since, you have not utilised your two chances to appear for JEE Main examination after completion of 12th standard, you are not eligible to appear for JEE Main examination. |
