I am a graduate with BPT, how can join Indian army?

To join in Indian Army after completion of a graduation in the BPT course, you have to appear in CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

Candidates who have passed Bachelor's Degree Course or an equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognised University are eligible to appear in CDA examination.

The age criteria required to appear in CDS examination is 19 to 24 years.

You should be an unmarried meal candidate and should be physically as well mentally healthy to be eligible to appear in CDS examination.

You can join Indian army by applying for NDA exam ( National defence academy) and after clearing the Sab interview.if you are not eligible for NDA exam , you can appear for CDS exam after graduation and directly apply for ssb interview.

As a graduate with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree, you can join the Indian Army through various entry schemes. Here are a few options available to you:

1. Short Service Commission (SSC) Medical Corps: The Indian Army offers opportunities for BPT graduates to join as Short Service Commissioned Officers in the Army Medical Corps. The recruitment process includes a written examination, followed by an interview and medical examination. Upon selection, you will undergo training and serve as a commissioned officer in the Medical Corps for a specific duration.

2. Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS): AFMS is another pathway for BPT graduates to join the Indian Army. AFMS provides medical services to all three branches of the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force). To join AFMS, you can apply for the Armed Forces Medical Services Examination (AFMS Exam) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The selection process includes a written examination, interview, and medical examination.

3. Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in the Military Nursing Service (MNS): BPT graduates who are female can also consider joining the Indian Army through the Military Nursing Service. The MNS is an all-women nursing service that provides nursing care to the armed forces personnel. The recruitment process for MNS includes a written examination, interview, and medical examination.

4. Joining as a Civilian: Alternatively, you can explore civilian opportunities within the Indian Army as a physiotherapist. The Army Medical Corps may have openings for civilian physiotherapists in their hospitals or healthcare facilities. These positions are generally advertised, and you can apply directly to the respective authorities.
