Hello sir, I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer engineering and want to know on which topics should I focus more and in which year apply for internship in order to get campus placement in good companies?

You should go for the field of your interest. You should try to opt for internship in a field in which you have interest and want to build your professional life. Computer Science is a vast field and there are numerous opportunities in various technology fields. Internship does not play a major role in the campus placement drive. So, you need to relax a bit and opt for internship which can help you to get professionally uplifted along with improvement in your knowledge. You should concentrate more at areas like programming, data structures, etc. You can also focus at fields like multimedia, networking, DBMS, etc. provided you have interest in the concerned field.

In order to get internship, there are various ways,
-You can apply through your college/university
-You can apply on company website
-You can apply through advertisement
-You can apply through referral

When should one apply?
-Ideally, try to get internship experience of more than one companies. Hence, I would suggest to take internship in second and fourth year in order to get good job in campus placement.
