I have done M.B.A (HR) and M.Tech (Automobile) PG courses in Part Time. I have 5 years of work experience too. I would like to know if Part Time M.Tech/M.B.A Holder is eligible to pursue PhD ?

Yes,part time MTech Holder are eligible for PhD programme.


For PhD, candidates who have done post graduate degree from a recognised university can study PhD.

Those who have completed their masters in relevant discipline are eligible for admission to PhD.

The masters degree must be from a recognised university with atleast 60% marks.

Are exempted from university level entrance exam and appear for interview.

Yes, Part time M.Tech holder are applicable for Ph.D course. You must have done your masters from recognised Indian institution. You have to apply for National Eligibility Test which is an all india level Ph.D entrance examination.
