DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization) produces sophisticated weapons and machineries that are needed by the three Indian Defence Services (Army, Navy and Air Force). These machineries and weapons are designed and developed according to the qualitative specifications laid down by three defence services for different areas like aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics, instrumentation engineering systems etc.

To develop such delicate and sophisticated machineries it requires scientists. So DRDO conducts a Scientist Entry Test (SET). Your B.Tech. branch should be one of the followings to be eligible to apply for the SET test...
Electronics & Communication engineering
Mechanical engineering
Computer Science & engineering
Chemical engineering
Electrical engineering
Your age must be within 21-30 years and you must have at-least 60% in your Bachelor’s Degree to satisfy the SET eligibility criteria.
