Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) offers excellent infrastructure facilities to promote a first-class learning environment to all students. Library

Sir MVIT has a central library facility which offers diverse learning facilities to students. The fully automated library holds 17,000 titles of books, around 950 volumes of scientific and technical journals covering a total of 59,040 volumes. A stock of around 268 video cassettes, and 1050 CD/DVD’s  carrying study materials are included in the library. The library and information center include specific sections for reference, reading, audio visual, periodical, reprographic and digital library sections.

Hostel

The college arranges separate hostel facilities for both girls and boys. Boy’s hostel can accommodate a total of 640 students and girl’s hostel can hold up to 300 students. The hostel rooms are well furnished with basic facilities such as bed room, table, chair, separate cots etc. The hostel accommodation is offered on a twin sharing basis.

Sports Facility

The college offers both indoor and outdoor sports facility for students. Indoor game facilities comprise of badminton, table tennis, chess, caroms and gymnasium (both girls and boys). Outdoor facilities for games like cricket, football, basket ball, tennis, volley ball and athletic track are also arranged.

Canteen

The college canteen functions under a committee run together by college staff, students and trustees. The college canteen is open on all main working days. Both South Indian and North Indian dishes are supplied to students at an affordable rate.

Transport Facility

The college arranges separate bus facilities to operate in different parts of city.

Browsing Centre

The college owns an Internet center which offers browsing facilities for students till 9 pm on all working days.

Bank

With an objective to offer banking facility to college students, ING Vysya Bank operates an extension center in the college campus operating in 6 working days a week. ATM facility is also offered along with banking extension center.

Health Care Facility

For providing 24 hours health care facilities to both the students and college staff Krishnadevaraya Hospital and Research Centre functions in the college campus.

Research and Development Center

In order to undertake research and development activities in the college, a R&D cell is formed including a group of experience professional staff.
