It is very common in today’s world that students know the answer to the question but they don’t know the reason behind it. The Netaji Subhas Open University’s Post Graduate History (Paper 4) deals with the history of history, what is history, how it came into existence and some parts of Indian history. There are eight history papers out of which the fourth paper is totally different from the rest. Rest of the paper is somewhere related to each other but this one is totally different from the rest.

Pattern of the paper:

The paper is divided into three sub parts which are as follows-

• Contains four essay type questions of 18 marks each out of which two are to be answered. The section is of thirty six marks.

• Contains six long questions of 12 marks each out of which three is to be answered. Even this section is of thirty six marks.

• Contains eight short note type questions each of 7 marks out of which four are to be answered.. The section is of twenty eight marks

Many a times the second section may have more than six questions, helping the students with more number of options.

Maximum Time allotted:

The exam is of 100 marks and the total time allotted is 4 hours.
