Recruitment of Post Graduate as Assistant Officers in IOC
Indian Oil Corporation invites application from Post graduates for the first time for the post of Assistant Officers. Those who have completed post graduation in subjects such as Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with first class marks are eligible to apply for this post. Recruitment is carried out on the basis of GATE exam 2013.
Eligibility Criterion for Assistant Officers in Indian Oil Corporation
Educational Qualification
Candidates who have completed Post Graduation in any of the below mentioned science subjects from a recognized Indian University are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Officer.
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
Those who have completed full time regular courses are only eligible to apply. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. Physically challenged candidates and those who are belonging to scheduled tribe and scheduled caste require a mere pass in qualifying examination so as to be eligible.
Professional Experience
Candidates are required to have post qualification industrial experience for a period of at least 3 years in any of the following areas.
- Process manufacturing industry
- Logistics Management
- Sales & distribution
- Services industry
Internship program completed for certain period before completing post graduation will not be considered as work experience. In addition to this, candidates who have professional experience in areas such as Teaching and Research are not eligible to apply for this post.
Age Restrictions
Those who are more than 30 years at the time of application are not eligible. Those who are domiciled from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers can have relaxation up to 5 years in upper age limit. Age relaxation for candidates belonging to Scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe and other backward class will be as per the Government of India directives.
Candidates are required to be physically fit as per the guidelines issued by Indian Oil Corporation ltd.
Selection Procedure and Training Process
Recruitment is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2013. Candidates are required to appear GATE exam 2013 in core subjects. Candidates will be short listed as per their score in GATE for group discussion and personal interview. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained in qualifying examination, GATE and final interview. Those who get selection will have to sign bond of Rs. 3,00,000/- for a minimum period of 3 years. Reserved category candidates are required to pay Rs. 50,000/- as bond.
Application Process
Eligible candidates are required to apply online from the official website of the organization. Candidates will have to register with their GATE 2013 registration number. Those who have successfully submitted the online application will receive system generated completed application form. Candidates are required to take print out of this completed application form and send it to the regional office within stipulated time.
