Rungta College of Engineering & Technology came into existence in the year 2009 and the college belongs to the Rungta Group of Colleges working under the aegis of GD Rungta Foundation. The institute is shortly called as RCET, Raipur and it is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda University located at Bhilai. The college is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and by the Directorate of Technical Education.

Admissions:

Admission of students to the Rungta Group of Colleges for the UG Courses is done based on the merit secured by candidates in the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test conducted at the state level or by the All India Engineering Entrance Test. Following this examination, the Directorate of Technical Education organizes centralized counseling for candidates with both AIEEE and CGPET score. Candidates, who wish to seek admission under management quota, will have to apply directly to the college and a separate college level counseling is conducted for management quota seats.

Placements:

Students of Rungta Group of Colleges get the best subject knowledge that enables the candidates in floating into the real competitive world outside the college premises. The group of college has a placement cell located in the campus and the management is governing the training and placement of students. Each year a number of companies from different fields visit the group for recruitment of the best of students from different disciplines.
