Union Public Service Commission was established as a constitutional body governed under the administrative control of Government of India. The commission was formed on October 1, 1926 with the aim of a having a responsible body for conducting examinations for making appointment to the various Civil Services of India. The head office of headquarter of the commission is located at Dholpur House, New Delhi. The first ever public service commission was incorporated by the British Indian Government on October 1, 1926 under the presssure put by Indian Politicians.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant positions of Senior Research Officer, Assistant Director Grade-I, Assistant Director Grade-II and Assistant Chemist in different offices or ministeries under Government of India. Union Public Service Commission will conduct a written examination and interview test for recruiting best suitable candidates on the specified posts. The position of Senior Research officer is available in the disciplines of Hindi, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy, Coal, Engineering except Civil Engineering, Geology, Sociology, Science Education and Petroleum.
